Pattaya nightlife, amazing, varied and entertaining.

Yes Pattaya nightlife is indeed varied, I honestly thought I had seen it all until I came to Pattaya. Whatever you imagine, its here and more besides. Starting at the northern end there is Tiffany`s, this is a fabulous transsexual cabaret show, although the performers mime the songs it is by no means an amateur production. I can thoroughly recommend it. The same goes for Alcazar. You will find them both on 2nd Road.

Central Pattaya around Soi 7 and Soi 8 is where all the action is in this area. Soi 8 is pictured to the right. Everywhere around these two Soi`s is packed with beer bars and every night is party night, it really is a great location. You will also find many massage parlours in and around these two Soi`s.

If you go to the beach road end of these two Soi`s and cross over the road onto beach walk pictured below, every evening and daytime for that matter, you will find many freelance Thai girls or even bar girls who for one reason or another are not in the bar, anyway you can easily start talking with these pattaya girls and soon have a new friend.. And no Bar fine to pay!

Ok now at the southern end of Pattaya we have Walking street, the entrance to which is pictured below

This street is closed to vehicles after about 6pm hence walking street, You could easily spend an evening just walking up and down here watching the street entertainers, it really is a fascinating part of Pattaya nightlife and besides the Pattaya girls you will see many of the famous Ladyboys in Pattaya. It is a mixture of small bars, disco`s, clubs and pubs. Speaking of "entertainment" My great friend JB and I were sat at a bar on the edge of walking street watching the world go by, we both noticed an "old boy" negotiating with an athletically built attractive Thai girl. We were continuing to observe this even though she knew we were watching, mistake No,1 he got his wallet out! mistake No,2 he removed a wad of notes from said wallet!! There must have been at least 5,000Bt, too tempting, the girl snatched the wad and proceeded to carry out an olympic sprint, smiling at us both as she took off. The "old boy" unfortunately was left there wondering what happened.

I suppose the moral of that is only take with you what you think you will need, and certainly don't take important documents with you.

All along walking street there are go go bars and even more down the Soi`s that run off the street,some of which get quite narrow and sometimes feel like your on the set of a movie, but believe me its the real deal.

Boyztown is an interesting area full of gay go go bars,, Ladyboys (Katoey) and obviously gay men, the entrance is pictured below

It is located off 2nd Road before you get to south Road (heading south)

The main gay area is around Soi Pattayaland 1 and 2. There are many gay areas in Pattaya and gay friendly hotels. Jomtien has Dongtan beach also known as the gay beach.

Pattaya nightlife is not all about "adult entertainment" there are literally hundreds of quality restaurants, bars and clubs with superb live music and quiet relaxed places you can eat and have a drink. I can honestly say I have had the best evenings of my life not just here in Pattaya but Thailand.
