MMA SCHOOLMMA School Pictured below is the WKO fitness center, it is located at 503/16 M9 Pattaya Klang Rd, (central Rd,). Its really easy to find, if you're walking, just go past the Carrefour supermarket on your left, go through the lights, you will see the place on your right after about 150 meter's.
I have been to this place myself and the equipment and premises are excellent. If you are in Pattaya for just a short while you can have use of the equipment for just 100Bt per day. They also have other weekly, monthly and yearly deals which are excellent value. This place is not just an MMA school you can do a course on Thai martial arts here too, although it is not a traditional Muay thai camp. They also do Karate and K1. Personally I ain't done a course here and met the instructors etc, but their brochure states that all their instructors are all certified and apparently ranked amongst the best in the world in their particular field. A colleague of mine in Pattaya who does train there tells me they are excellent. Also they are the official training centre for the police S.W.A.T anti terrorist unit, so I guess they know what they're doing. They are also a certified school under the Ministry of Education of Thailand. What does the training involve then? Well the school will organise a training routine for you, depending on your skills and experience. It will involve heavy bag work, this will improve your kicking and striking. You will be taught how to practice different strikes and then combine the different strikes to make combinations. Including kicking strikes. Your course at the school will also include lots of strength training which at the WKO center means using the professional standard weight training center. At the MMA school you will also do wrestling training, having done this myself I know its great fun and I enjoyed it tremendously. If you are considering coming to a Thai martial arts school or an MMA school here in Thailand and you don't have any real experience, then get yourself an MMA training routine book. Its a great idea as it shall show how to get to grips with the training from day one, and that way you can make the most of your course.
