So just why do so many people come to Pattaya.

You might think its just single men that are here

for reasons I shall cover later.. But no,

there are many single women here too.

There are also families here,

the parents are often shocked sometimes horrified.. to actually see the city.

Why are they shocked? Well.. the place is just one big red light zone! I have seen mothers covering the eyes of their offspring whilst passing the bars.

If I had a wife and young children would I come here? Yep! Absolutely.. Read on..

A colleague of mine recently described Thailand as a land of paradoxes, in other words, whatever you read, hear or see the opposite is also true! And I have to say Pattaya is by far no representation of the real Thailand.

So why would I come here with a young family.. Theres simply loads to do and I mean lots to see and do without going anywhere near those bars. You just need to know what to expect, where to go and how to get there.. And if all you have read about Pattaya is from a travel brochure, or most other travel sites that describe say the nightlife as "vibrant" (read, in your face). Then I have possibly already helped you.

Let me continue.. I recently read on one travel site describing Pattaya as "fresh and clean"..

Beleive me, there aint nothing fresh and clean here, take a look at the sidewalks, if you can see em, for the potholes, telegraph poles, phone booths and not to mention the street traders and motorbikes.

Walking is not necessarily the safest option!

Fresh! try walking down one of the main roads, and within a kilometre you should be in stage two of carbonmonoxide poisoning!

Would I bring my family.. Yep, Cos I know exactly where to go. There are some very peaceful spots that are clean, free to use and not a tourist in site.

Admittedly, I have aimed this site primarily to help the single guy who may never have been before.

However if you are a family, have booked your vacation already, at least you know what to expect and a lot of the tips in the site shall apply to you.

OK the single guy.. Where do I begin, well I have yet to meet any guy who did not thoroughly enjoy his stay here, and is already planning his next trip before he has finished his first.

Ah..I hear you say, the question was why visit Pattaya? especially in the case of the single guy.Well it aint just about sex, I hate the term "sex tourist" so consider this, whatever is available here in Pattaya is also available in most major western towns and cities, its just not so obvious. Then do the math on cost of flight, hotel and living expenses not to mention the sheer hassle of getting here...Sheesh, much easier to visit a local massage parlour!

One answer is simple, this is such a fun town to be in, and yes even quasimodo could find the company of a beautiful woman. It has been described as a Disneyland for adults, and its true, Pattaya is not like anywhere else in the world. It is such a fun town it can be addictive, so addictive that many a man has gone home to sell every thing he has to move here permanantly!

But if you dont take care that addiction can ruin you, simply enjoy Pattaya for what it is and trust me when I say you have to experience the place to beleive it.

I now live and work in Thailand, but everytime I went back the questions were usually the same.

Whats it like? How much money do I need? Where do you stay? And of course.. what are Pattaya girls like and is it a safe place, Whoa! slow down, if its your first trip here you need to do a little planning, thats where this site comes in.

If your coming here with money to burn (Oh, happy days) or if your on a budget.. Beleive me when I say in either case its so easy to lose track and your money is blown way too soon..

Its a bar girls job to releive you of as much cash as possible and you wont even know about it!

So follow the tips and you will not only enjoy Pattaya.. You will have the time of your life.. If you aint never been here......... Just go for it!!
